D'aalathan

The town of D'aalathan is built around the river Tolthan and surrounded by desert. It is not a place for people who wish to settle down
quietly. The town is know for attracting fortune seekers of all kinds. Some are poor people from other parts of the land just looking for a lucky break others are here looking for the big score that will have them set for life. Some make it, some don't - and some make it BIG, these people build palace like homes for themselves and use their money and influence as tools to rule the town.

RECRUITMENT
D'aalathan is not recruiting anyone at this time, when house plots are set up properly using the town management addon recruitment will restart.

THEME
You will be given a plot inside the town protection area to build your home. You are expected to make it "pretty" (a cobblestone box will not be accepted) exact guidlines and rules for homes are still being considered.

RULES AND TAXES
The town has no tax on it's citizens however you are expected to chip in to pay the fee when the town grows to the next rank.

We are now rank 2, this means we have a new 60x60 protection area which is placed over mine and Beasts houses. I have started to build the new wall around it so you can see where the border is.

Beast and Chaldo will (hopefully) not run in to any problems since you have permission to build anywhere in town. But those who have just joined and built a house inside the wall will probably not be able to build untill I properly figure out the town management plugin, which I am working on.

Seems Beast could not build in the new territory (I don't know about the old) so I expect the same will be true for Chaldo, however since your house is not inside the new area the problem is not so urgent. If I see you online I'll make sure you have permissions where you need to.

I also want to bring up the recruitment policy for the town, these are my thoughts:
I want to be able to invite first time players to join the town, to grab them before they go out and build a house in the wild and also take them in and prevent them from starving to death. However many of these players might just be on that one time and never come back so we need to be able to clear out half finished houses and sheds with no one in them fairly quickly (to keep the town looking good and also have room to invite potential new members). To do this I will give each new arrival a week to either show me they are online some other day than the one they joined (beast or chaldo saying they have seen them is good for me) or post in this thread saying hi and that they want to stay.

I will also remove the request to put a house protection next to the town and new arrivals will get smaller plots (10x10 or something like that) protected by the town, this is their first task to build a home in their assigned plot. I don't have set of rules to get the ones that go missing after 1 week out, we'll just have to figure that out as we go along or now.

And at last, I'll make Beast and Chaldo assistants again which I think will let you give permission to others to build with the following commands
/territory active d'aalathan_territ_rank2
/territory add player <player name>

That is just fine Grosund. We are coming up with a small kit of food that a new player can get that has 30ish bread in it and would like to implement it soon. As for making Beast and Chaldo assistants to rank 2, you will probably have to kick them from the town and re-add them as assistants. But one thing to remember though is that there is a max limit to the number of people you can have in your town as active members. We only have the limits so that one town doesnt become massive and no other towns are added. As to add new members to just the rank two territory, I will have to look up the commands and get back to you to confirm but we do want to get rid of this plug in soon and use something more reliable (something that doesnt stop working properly every other day).

I'll not mess around much with the addon if it is going to be changed, I'll just try to make sure everyone has build rights where they need to. This means all new players joining are going to be added to the new territory to be able to build a house. So if you want more griefer protection for your house keep the private house protection (Beast) or set it up (by contacting an admin).

To the admins, new people can have their private house protection inside the new territory (d'aalathan_territ_rank2), people that aren't members of the town are obviously not legit if they ask for protection there.

We don't offer individual house protection within town limits anyways so it wont matter much. The goal of a town is supposed to be like team play your supposed to support each other etc. so i don't want to support individual protections within a team area.
