D'aalathan ?

Hi,

I'm just wondering what's going on with this town. If I recall correctly I agreed to join on the server start day but I don't know much of what's happened since then because I am usually not on when everyone else is and there is no description/recruit post.
So,
Is D'aalathan a town or is it aspiring to become one?
If so who is the leader?
Am I a member of the town/town under construction?
Are there any rules? (I heard via Alex that there is a town theme?)

Perhaps these things are all settled and I'm just out of the loop (in which case please inform me) or if these questions are still up in the air perhaps the people interested in making a town out of D'aalathan can coordinate on the forum since as I said I'm not usually on when you are.

Both your town leaders are mostly inactive right now there was a sandstone theme going on but you and chaldo are the only ones currently playing actively if you guys want to continue with the town id say go for it but i don't think there will be much leadership in your town for some time. it is not an official town yet however i belive snimmy had all the items for it i can guarentee chaldo does as well.

Thanks for the info Alex. However I was hoping to get answers from some other people in the town, if this doesn't happen I'll probably move to a town that is already up and running (Chaldo I know you're there and active but I'd like to join a community not just a town of 2(+ some random guy if we can find one) I hope you don't take offense).

We should really ask for town status now, we fulfill all the criteria we only need to decide exactly where the 60x60 protection area is going to be. Next time I'm on I'll mark corners of my suggested protection area with cobblestone pillars.

PS. We got a new citizen, Beast[some number] I hope he creates an account and says "hi" here on the forums.

ok I marked the area I suggest for town protection as I said. It does not include any of our private homes (except snimmys). The two pillars out in the desert are pretty easy to see, the other two are located behind the dock house (up on the hill) and on the bridge over the river closest to my house.

If we agree on the area I'd like to build a wall around it, nothing huge though. I'm thinking three or four blocks high.

Sorry for how long that took yesterday i was making dray do it and i could have been a better teacher heh. I made Chaldo and Beast assistants in your town so they could build while you were gone by the way.

Thanks, thats probably the setup we are going to have since I don't intend to do a ton of administration as a leader (not sure how that happened, me becoming leader). Most people are probably going to be allowed to build everywhere after some time of proving themselves when they join.

since I'm now the leader of this town I'll post a proper town description thread... at some point. When I do this thread should be deleted.

D'aalathan

The town of D'aalathan is built around the river Tolthan and surrounded by desert. It is not a place for people who wish to settle down
quietly. The town is know for attracting fortune seekers of all kinds. Some are poor people from other parts of the land just looking for a lucky break others are here looking for the big score that will have them set for life. Some make it, some don't - and some make it BIG, these people build palace like homes for themselves and use their money and influence as tools to rule the town.

RECRUITMENT
We are pleased to see anyone willing to join and help build the town. It is very much appreciated if you put your house protection area inside the town wall at a spot given to you and build your house there.

THEME
For your home, which we would like you to place in the town (read RECRUITMENT) there is no set theme, just make it look good on the outside. If you are helping to build a public building or an extensions to one please follow the guidelines of the person who gave you the task.

RULES AND TAXES
The town has no tax on it's citizens however you are expected to chip in to pay the fee when the town grows to the next rank.
