[Town Creation Guide]
Before we get into the details of Town Creation I would like to take a moment and explain how towns work.
Some servers like to use Towny for their town management because it is no work for the admin but it is also very limiting for the players due to the plugin using chunk based regions which I feel limits you to creating small, blocky houses.
So we use MCTowns to manage our towns. It is a little more work for me but gives mayors the control they need without as much limitations Towny has.
The way it works is once you and three of your friends decide to make a town you would come to the Palace in Tal'halla and meet with an admin. You would need a few resources (which will be explained below) but after your application is approved I would create the town, set the mayor (there can only be one), and select your frist territory. Within the territory the mayor can create sub-regions called districts and sub-regions within the districts called plots. People can be assigned permissions within each region. Assigning someone to a territory will allow them to edit all districts and plots within that territory. The same goes for districts and plots.
A Mayor can also elect an assistant Mayor who can do almost everything a Mayor can do. Please be careful in who you give this to as they will be able to do almost everything you can do!
For Example:
Bob as mayor is given a territory and wants his friend Mike to have control over a district called Valley. Inside of Valley Bob has created Four Plots called Northwest, Northeast, Southwest and Southeast. Mike can edit all four plots because he has control over the Valley. Now Bob's other friends Don, James, Bekka and Arlen are given control of the plots within Valley. Don gets NW, James NE, Bekka SW and Arlen SE. Don can edit anything within his NW plot but cannot touch anything in James' NE plot or Bekka's and Arlen's sourthern plots. He also cannot edit anything within the Valley that is outside of his plot.
Don, James, Bekka and Arlen are limited to their own plots where Mike is limited to everything in Valley and Bob has control over all the territories, districts and plots.
Note: Territories are not required to be connected with each other (farms and mines can be a distance from town and still be protected)
All towns must participate in the "Theonia Connected" community project you all should at least pretend to be nice and social to each other so this forces that >.> towns can design and build their docks/roads however it is strongly encouraged (and by that i mean you have to) let other people help contribute.
Now how do we actually create this town?
Note: Please be creative! These are not meant to limit you but to add to your Theonia experience.
